Meet Wytinsea
I write inspirational blogs, devotionals, short stories, novels, and nonfiction on topics of self-worth, identity, colorism, and faith struggles. I am also a speaker, podcast host, and workshop facilitator, and conference presenter. Learn more about my speaker profile and how to book me for your next event here. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English and Masters degree in English Education. Currently, I am an English PhD student with a research focus on the effects of colorism and its impact in literature. Moreover, I’ve completed certification programs in TSC mentoring and coaching, Tier 1 Educational Leadership, and more.
As a recipient of the esteemed, John Lewis Writing Grant for a nonfiction piece on colorism, writing is a true passion of mine. As a member of various English and educational organizations, I served on the Secondary Section Nominating Committee for NCTE in 2024 as the first in a local district to do so.
I’ve had the honor of presenting educational and literacy strategies for district conferences, state conferences, and national conventions. Additionally, I’ve presented excerpts of my work at writing conferences as well. Learn more here.
